Ischia filmfest to screen Iranian ‘Blocked’

Iranian ‘Blocked’ is to go on screen at the Ishcia Global filmfest in Italy.

Iranian short flick ‘Blocked’ has been set to go on screen at the Ishcia Global Film Festival in Italy.

Directed by Milad Mansouri, the flick will be screened at the short film section of the Italian event.

It shows a young man who comes to Tehran for his military service. While in the capital city, he has to deal with some strange events.

The cast list of the short film includes Ali Sam Sadeqi, Arian Rezaee, Amin Mazaheri, Amir-Sajjad Tabasi, Milad Arab, Ashkan Azimian and Deniz Motevasseli.

‘Blocked’ has gone on screen at some global events, including the Asian Cinematography Awards, where it won the award for best Asian short film, and Mostra Livre De Cinema (Independent Film Festival in Brazil), where it received the awards for best director, best cinematography, and best makeup and set design.

Launched in 2003, the Ishcia Global Film Festival is a popular summer film event that accepts films from around the world. Each year leaders of the film industry attend the event that takes place on the isle of Ischia near Naples.

This year’s edition of the fest is set to be held on July 18-25.
